FOR VETERINARY CARE SERVICES

Payment is due at the time services are rendered. Personal checks are not accepted; though we are happy to accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and cash payments. The Animal Hospital by the Sea accepts the following major credit cards:

  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • Discover

  • American Express

We also accept payments from both the Citi Health Card and CareCredit. Both of these programs offer six-month interest deferred payment plans to pet owners for qualifying transactions. Please visit their websites and contact us for further details.

PET INSURANCE

Veterinary medicine continues to become more and more advanced, a fact that can cause optimal care to quickly become expensive. In order to more readily provide the best possible care for your pets, we strongly recommend that owners consider purchasing pet insurance for their animals. 

While pet insurance can be a real benefit to you and your pets, it is important to remember that it works a little differently than people health insurance. The company usually requires the owner to pay for care at the time of service with reimbursement made to the owner later, after records are submitted. Prior to enrolling your pet in a new program, most companies will require you to provide copies of your pet’s medical records. We will be happy to assist you in getting the records required.

There are many pet insurance companies available, with new ones constantly being created.
